How long is left until GTA 6? The timer below counts down to Thursday, November 19, 2026, the launch date Rockstar Games has set for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar Games. Rockstar has not announced a launch time, so the timer counts to 12:00 AM on that date.
The GTA 6 Countdown
This is a working tool, not a screenshot. It runs in your browser, reads your device clock, and updates every second.
Counts down to Rockstar’s announced release date, in your time zone.
What Date This Counts To
The timer counts to Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar set that date in a statement on November 6, 2025, and repeated it when pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. As of October 16, 2026, we found no newer change.
The date is confirmed. The time is not. Rockstar said pre-orders opened at midnight local time, but it has given only a date for launch. If a store unlocks the game at midnight Eastern, West Coast players would see it at 9:00 PM Pacific on November 18.
Playing on PC? Rockstar has announced only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so this date is not a PC date. Planning ahead? See our gta 6 pc system requirements: minimum and recommended.
What Happens If the Date Moves
GTA 6 has moved twice. Both times, Rockstar said it needed more time to finish the game. As of October 16, 2026, no further change has been announced.
| Announced | Date given | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Dec 2023 | 2025 window | Rockstar, Trailer 1 |
| May 2, 2025 | May 26, 2026 | Game Informer, quoting Rockstar |
| Nov 6, 2025 | Nov 19, 2026 | Rockstar Newswire |
If Rockstar announces a new date, we will change the timer’s target and the “Updated” date at the top. Until then, Rockstar’s published date is the one the timer uses. Rockstar’s Newswire is the first place to check. Take-Two says its next earnings report is due Monday, November 9.

Evidence basis: This page uses announcements from Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive. GameVexo has not played or tested GTA 6.
What came from documentation: The release date, platforms, price, pre-order and preload details come from Rockstar’s Newswire and Take-Two’s news release. The date history comes from Rockstar’s two delay statements.
Independent evidence: None is used. The timer is a calculation, not a measurement.
How the timer works: It subtracts the current time on your device from the target time. If your device clock is wrong, the timer will be wrong too. GameVexo is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
