Collector’s editions are statues, art books and steel cases sold alongside a game, usually in limited numbers and usually for $150 or more. The hard part is keeping track of which ones are actually confirmed, what is really in each box, and when you need to be ready to order.
This page tracks the upcoming collector’s edition games for 2026 and early 2027 in one dated table. For each edition you get the release date, the US price tier, the contents, whether the game is even in the box, and the pre-order status the last time we checked. Everything here comes from publisher announcements, official store listings and news coverage, linked in each row. GameVexo has not handled any of these boxes.
As of September 27, 2026, seven upcoming collector’s editions are confirmed: Gears of War: E-Day ($299.99, Oct 1), Halloween: The Game ($149.99, Oct 6), Dave the Diver (£69.99, Oct 8), GTA VI’s Vice City Collection ($399.99, Nov 19, game not included), Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis ($199.99, Feb 12, 2027), Fable ($199.99, Feb 23, 2027) and Final Fantasy VII Revelation ($349.99, Apr 8, 2027).
What Is Confirmed So Far
Seven collector’s editions are officially announced for games (or, in GTA VI’s case, alongside a game) releasing between October 2026 and April 2027. Three land in the first week of October. The rest are spread across November, February and April.
Two other recent headlines matter if you are shopping. The Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector’s Edition is no longer upcoming: the game launched on July 28, 2026, and Halo Support says the edition is sold out with no restock planned. And Marvel’s Wolverine, which launched on September 15, 2026, did not get one at all. Screen Rant reported that Insomniac confirmed on X there would be no collector’s edition.

What Each Box Actually Contains
Here are the physical items each publisher lists, in plain words. Descriptions of quality come from the publishers, not from us.
Gears of War: E-Day Collector’s Edition — $299.99
According to The Coalition, the box holds a 15-inch diorama statue of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago (it needs three AAA batteries, not included), a 1:1 replica of Carlos Santiago’s COG tags in zinc alloy and brass, a lithograph, an in-game photo, a SteelBook case by illustrator Luke Preece and a thank-you note, all in packaging with a sliding drawer. It also includes the Premium Edition digital upgrade: early access, a weapon pack, 1,000 Iron and five seasonal customization packs. Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition — $149.99
The official physical-editions page lists the game on disc, a Shape Jump variant action figure (retail listings describe it as an 8-inch figure by Trick or Treat Studios), exclusive lenticular art, a poster, advance access to two Michael Myers skins and four civilian cosmetics, plus “more surprises” that have not been named. Dave the Diver Collector’s Edition — £69.99
The publisher’s announcement lists the full game with all announced DLC, a Bancho Sushi acrylic standee, four metal pins, an acrylic keyring, a dolphin pendant necklace, two Marinca cards, a poster and four postcards. Silver Lining Direct notes that US and Canadian buyers looking for the ESRB-rated version should buy the Complete Edition from local retailers. GTA VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection — $399.99
The Rockstar Store listing includes 11 items: a Macca the Gator figure with a twist-open stash base, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a crossbody bag, a magnetic mirror, a shot glass, a swizzle spoon, a razor-blade-style keychain, a nine-pin enamel set in a tin, a sticker pack and a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida. Rockstar marks it as an 18+ adult collectible, not eligible for free shipping, and states the game is sold separately.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Collector’s Edition — $199.99
Reported contents include a steel case, a Lara Croft vs. the T-Rex statue, a mini art book, a Croft signet pin and a Triumvirate Talisman keychain. Gfinity reports it also carries the Deluxe Edition content, while German outlet Playfront noted the announcement left that unclear, so confirm the listing before you order.
Fable Collector’s Edition — $199.99
The Xbox Game Studios Shop lists a limited-edition Jack of Blades statuette, a hardcover art book (English only), a custom SteelBook case and a Guild Seal lapel pin. It also includes the Premium Edition: early access from February 18, 2027, a content pack, a digital art book and soundtrack, and the Order of the Hero expansion when it releases.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation Collector’s Edition — $349.99
The centerpiece is a statue of Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth. ThePCEnthusiast’s summary of Square Enix’s reveal adds the physical Deluxe Edition (game, mini-soundtrack, 120-page hardcover art book, SteelBook), a Magic: The Gathering promo card, digital items and the Story Expansion Pass covering two planned story DLCs.
What you pay for the physical extras
A useful way to compare these boxes is to subtract the price of the closest regular edition with the same game content. What is left is roughly what you pay for the physical items. By that math, GTA VI’s box is all $399.99 in merch, Final Fantasy VII Revelation’s extras cost $250 over the $99.99 Deluxe Edition, and Gears of War: E-Day’s cost $200 over its $99.99 Premium Edition. Fable’s are the cheapest of the $199.99 boxes at $100 over its $99.99 Premium Edition. If you also want GTA VI itself, the box plus the $79.99 Standard Edition comes to $479.98.
Which Ones Sell Out First
The editions most likely to sell out fast are the ones sold through a single official store, with pre-orders that open the moment they are revealed at a big showcase. That is exactly what happened in June 2026. Halo Waypoint posted a “sold out” update for the Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector’s Edition on June 8, the day after the Xbox Games Showcase. On the same day, GamesRadar noted that US buyers could only sign up to be notified when the Fable Collector’s Edition was back in stock.
We cannot predict sell-outs, and we are not claiming any current edition has sold out unless the table says so. What we can do is show the signals that preceded recent sell-outs, so you can judge the risk yourself.

Pre-Order Timing
For big collector’s editions, the moment that matters is usually the first few hours after the reveal, not the weeks before launch. Here is what the 2026 announcements show about timing.

Gears, Fable and Halo collector’s editions all went up during the June Xbox Games Showcase. Final Fantasy VII Revelation’s opened during the September 3 State of Play. Rockstar revealed the GTA VI box on a Thursday, part of a weekly run of announcements that Sole Retriever traces back to August 27.
Set up your store account before the drop
Most of these boxes are sold through publisher stores, not the usual retailers. Create the account, save your address and payment method, and turn on back-in-stock alerts ahead of time.
Some collector’s editions open later
When Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was dated in June, Screen Rant noted its collector’s edition was not yet available to order, even though the standard editions were. It later appeared at GameStop. Don’t assume the reveal day is your only chance.
Check bonus deadlines and early access
The Gears of War: E-Day and Fable collector’s editions include up to five days of early access. Pre-order bonuses often end at launch: ExitLag’s editions guide lists Gears’ pre-order bonuses as valid for purchases made before 7:59 AM PDT on October 6. A physical box also has to ship to you, so early access through a mailed code depends on delivery timing.
