GTA 6 Cheat Codes & Cheats: Full List for PS5, Xbox & PC
Illustration by GameVexo — GTA 6 cheat system concept for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S — and cheat codes are coming back. Rockstar hasn’t released the full official list yet, but everything you need to know about GTA 6 cheats, god mode, the money cheat, mods, and how to enter codes is right here.
Cheat codes have been part of GTA since the very beginning. From flying cars in San Andreas to infinite ammo in GTA 5, cheats let players have fun without limits. GTA 6 is almost certain to continue this tradition. This guide covers what’s been confirmed, what to expect at launch, how the cheat system will likely work, and everything about mods — all in simple, beginner-friendly language.
- GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S — no PC version at launch.
- No official GTA 6 cheat codes have been confirmed yet — the full list will drop at or after launch.
- Leaked game files already show a “Cheat Activated” string, confirming the cheat system is built into the game.
- A GTA 6 money cheat is not expected — GTA 5 didn’t have one, and GTA 6 likely won’t either.
- Cheats disable trophies and achievements — always save your game before activating any code.
- GTA 6 mods will only be possible after the PC version releases, expected in 2027.
GTA 6 & Cheat Code History
Grand Theft Auto 6 is made by Rockstar Games and published by Take-Two Interactive. It’s set in Leonida — a fictional version of Florida — centered around the famous neon-soaked streets of Vice City. The game stars two protagonists: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a Bonnie-and-Clyde style duo navigating the criminal underworld.
Cheat codes have been part of GTA’s DNA since day one. Every major GTA title from GTA 3 through GTA 5 shipped with a full set of cheats. In GTA Vice City you could spawn tanks and get full health in seconds. In GTA San Andreas, cheats let you fly cars, change the weather, and even make pedestrians riot. GTA 5 introduced the phone dialing method alongside button combos. GTA 6 is almost certain to follow the same tradition.

What We Know So Far
Rockstar has not officially released any GTA 6 cheat codes yet. The game hasn’t launched, so no codes can be verified from actual gameplay. However, the signs are very strong that cheats are coming.
“We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you deserve.”
Rockstar Games — Official Newswire, November 6, 2025The most important clue comes from leaked game files. Dataminers found the phrase “Cheat Activated” buried in GTA 6’s early file strings — which directly confirms the cheat system is already coded into the game. Rockstar just hasn’t flipped the switch to reveal the actual button combinations or phone codes yet.
Beyond leaks, the historical pattern is crystal clear. Every single mainline GTA game since GTA 3 in 2001 has included cheat codes. There is zero reason to believe GTA 6 will be the first exception.
What Input Methods Will GTA 6 Use for Cheats?
Based on how GTA 5 worked, GTA 6 is expected to support two main ways to enter cheats:
- Button combinations (PS5 / Xbox) — Press a specific sequence of buttons during gameplay without pausing. The screen flashes briefly to confirm activation.
- In-game smartphone codes — Open your in-game phone and dial a specific number, just like calling a contact. GTA 5 introduced this and it’s expected to return.
- PC console commands — Once the PC version arrives, press the tilde (~) key to open the console and type a text command.
Will There Be New Input Methods?
Some gaming experts suggest Rockstar might add voice command activation or a Quick Access cheat menu, given how immersive and modern GTA 6’s design is. Nothing is confirmed, but with Rockstar building the most advanced open world ever, new features around cheats are possible.

How to Enter Cheat Codes in GTA 6
Based on GTA 5’s system — which GTA 6 is expected to follow closely — here’s how to activate cheats on each platform:
Can You Turn Off Cheats?
In GTA 5, most toggle cheats could be deactivated by entering the same code a second time. The same system is expected in GTA 6. Toggle cheats (like invincibility or never wanted) stay on until you turn them off or restart the game. One-time cheats (like giving yourself health or a weapon) need to be re-entered each time.
Do Cheats Work During Missions?
In GTA 5, many cheats were blocked during story missions. This restriction is likely to return in GTA 6. Cheats generally work best in free roam — exploring Leonida and causing chaos across Vice City.
The GTA 6 Money Cheat — Will It Exist?
This is the cheat everyone asks about. The short answer is: probably not.
GTA 5 — one of the best-selling games of all time — never had a money cheat in story mode. Rockstar made a deliberate decision to leave it out, likely to push players toward GTA Online’s Shark Card economy. GTA 6 is expected to follow the same approach.
If you want money in GTA 6’s story mode, you’ll need to earn it the old-fashioned way — completing missions with Jason and Lucia, robbing stores, doing heists, and building your criminal empire across Leonida. There’s also no confirmation of a GTA Online Shark Card equivalent for GTA 6 yet, but given Rockstar’s history, some form of in-game currency system for online play is very likely.
If a money cheat does somehow appear, we will update this page immediately with the confirmed code.
GTA 6 God Mode (Invincibility) Cheat
God Mode — also called the Invincibility cheat — is the most popular cheat in every GTA game. In GTA 5, it made the player immune to all damage for exactly 5 minutes, after which you had to re-enter the code. The same system is expected in GTA 6.
The god mode cheat is perfect for players who want to explore the massive Leonida open world without worrying about dying. You can drive recklessly through Vice City, take on the police, or just mess around in the sandbox — all without losing progress. Just remember to save before activating it, since trophies and achievements are disabled when any cheat is on.

GTA 6 Mods — What to Expect
Mods are player-made modifications that change or add new things to the game — better graphics, new vehicles, new missions, gameplay tweaks, and much more. GTA 5’s modding scene is one of the most active in gaming history, and GTA 6 will eventually have its own.
However, there’s an important fact to understand: GTA 6 is launching on consoles first. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S do not support traditional mods. Modding on those platforms is essentially impossible without hardware hacking.
Rockstar’s Big Move: Acquiring FiveM
In 2023, Rockstar’s parent company acquired Cfx.re — the team behind FiveM and RedM. FiveM is the massive roleplay modding platform built on GTA 5 that millions of players use. Rockstar then launched the Cfx Marketplace in January 2026, an official storefront where creators can sell their mods legally.
This signals a major shift: Rockstar is moving toward officially supported modding for GTA 6, rather than just tolerating it. Reports suggest Rockstar is working on something internally called Project ROME — a creator platform built directly into GTA 6, potentially resembling something between Roblox and Fortnite’s Creative mode.
What Kind of Mods Will GTA 6 Get?
Once the PC version releases and the modding community gets to work, expect these mod types to emerge:
- Vehicle mods — custom real-world cars, bikes, boats, and aircraft
- Script mods — new gameplay mechanics, AI improvements, new missions
- Graphics mods — reshaders, texture upgrades, weather overhauls making GTA 6 look photorealistic
- Trainer mods — in-game menus that replace traditional cheat codes, offering infinite options
- LSPDFR-style roleplay mods — play as a police officer or emergency services in Leonida
- Map expansion mods — new areas, interiors, and custom locations added to the world
The modding community typically releases basic tools within weeks of a PC version launch, with major overhaul mods appearing 6–12 months later. If you’re interested in other creative and relaxing games while waiting, check out our list of the best upcoming cozy games of 2026.
Cheats & GTA Online — Important Warning
This is the most important rule to remember: cheat codes do not work in GTA Online, and trying to exploit them will get you banned.
GTA Online is Rockstar’s live service multiplayer mode. It has its own anti-cheat systems running constantly. Any attempt to use cheat codes, trainers, or modded menus in GTA Online will be flagged. Depending on the severity, you could receive a temporary suspension or a full permanent ban — losing everything you’ve built in your online criminal empire.
Story Mode cheats are safe by design — they’re built into the game for single-player fun. But the moment you take anything into an online session, you’re breaking the rules. Keep your cheating in the offline world of Jason and Lucia’s story.
