MTG Secret Lair Just Announced Stardew Valley and The Hobbit Superdrops

Wizards of the Coast just confirmed two of the biggest MTG Secret Lair crossovers of the year: a Stardew Valley Superdrop lands July 27, 2026, followed by a Hobbit-themed Superdrop on August 17. Both were revealed today during the MagicCon Amsterdam 2026 panel.
The reveals were part of a bigger “Reveal-a-Thon” that also touched on Marvel Super Heroes, Masters of the Universe, and a Hatsune Miku Commander deck — but the Stardew Valley and Hobbit drops are the ones fans have been asking for since last year’s crossovers with Jaws and The Office.

The Hobbit crossover arrives as five separate drops on August 17, 2026. Highlights include a silver-foil treatment marking moments when Bilbo puts on the One Ring, claymation-style art from animator Jordan Speer, a Sol Ring reprint themed around Smaug’s hoard, and a “heavy metal” Hobbit-themed drop featuring Diabolic Intent. One drop is built entirely around food tokens styled like pages from a hobbit’s cookbook, complete with meal-time flavor text.
